In the recent years, bad habits and mental health problems have become singificantly widespread in our society. People lock themselves up in their rooms and engage in mind-numbing addictions that suck out energy, brainpower, and kill their dreams.
Is this a way to live? No, yet most people you see around pick the easy path. Instead of dealing with their problems, they retreat to the virtual worlds and addictions like cowards.
But I know as a matter of fact that this is not you. To help you become a masculine man (or simply a good person), I will tell you about 9 bad habits that destroy lives, and how you can get rid of them in case you have them. Let’s get started with the most addictive one of them – porn.
1: Watching Porn

I know by experience how destructive this habit is. Just like many folks of Gen Z, I stumbled upon porn when I was just 12 years old. What seemed like a fun and pleasurable activity to do turned into a thing that almost made me a complete braindead degenerate.
I watched porn and jacked off every day, sometimes 2-3 times daily. I had a gallery full of hentai photos and screenshots of my favorite videos. But that’s not the worst part.
Over time, I started turning into a complete creep who saw sexual stuff even in the most normal and innocent situations. While other boys were learning new hobbies, achieving, socializing, and killing it in school, here I was: a pathetic loser who plays PUBG Mobile several hours a day and jacks off in his free time.
Only when I turned 16 I realized how truly evil and disgusting this habit truly is. I’ve been trying to quit it for over a year, but thankfully, I succeeded. Thankfully, I am no longer a prisoner of it, for I have managed to heal and rewire my brain to the state of a healthy individual.
Porn Will Make You a Subhuman

Sadly, there are millions, if not billions of men out there who waste their potential and seed daily jacking off to virtual women on screen. I consider porn to be the worst bad habit because of how it manipulates men’s innate sexual desire – the biggest desire out of all, and how it satisfies our biological wants so easily.
If you have gorgeous pixels to jack off to at any time, why strive to be better to attract a good woman? You can sit here in a dirty room and beat your meat 15 times a day as some people do.
Over time, you will get fatter, emptier, dirtier, until one day, you find out that your balls can’t even produce cum anymore. Unfortunately, there are millions of degenerates like this who gave up on their lives.

2: Binge drinking

Drinking is a habit that has existed for thousands of years from the very start of human civilization. Unlike jacking off, it offers individuals social value: people celebrate important events in life, such as weddings, graduations, and birth of children by drinking and spending time together.
However, excessive drinking is extremely harmful. People’ve heard a million times about how it damages the body, liver and brain in particular. Furthermore, alcohol is a Group 1 carcinogen, which means that this substance is extremely likely to cause different types of cancer.
Alcohol causes millions of deaths every year, directly and indirectly. Despite this, so many men and women try to escape difficulties of life through binge-drinking, thinking that it will save them.
Listen. If you’re struggling with alcohol addiction, you must understand this: yes, alcohol may give you a temporary high and set your mind free from worries and responsibilities. As soon as the effects dissapear though? You feel like a loser. You feel like shit. And to numb those feelings, you want to drink even more.
This cycle has no good ending. If you stay in it, the ultimate end will be either death, or a tragic accident involving other innocent people, including those who you love. Unquestionably, the best way to deal with problems is facing and solving them, and not running away from them.
Imagine how proud your family and future you will be after you quit alcohol and become a man you always wanted to be. To fix your life and get it back on track, find other activities that can soothe your stress, and destroy the problems ahead of you.
3: Drugs and Cigs

Consumption of drugs and cigarretes is similar to drinking because of the similar effects it has on your body. I put them on a lower level because they are a bit harder to access than alcohol, and for this reason, alcohol deals more damage tha drugs or cigs. Despite this fact though, drugs are as dangerous as alcohol, often more lethal than beverages like wine and vodka.
Just a few grams of heroin or coke is enough to kill you. Yet addicts constantly increase their doses to feel the same amount of high as in their first times, and such attempts often result in death.
Do you gamble with life to receive more pleasure? Then I have bad news for you: such dangerous activity of instant gratification with eventually ruin your whole life to the point where you cannot restore it anymore.
Are few minutes of pleasure and high worth losing your family, friends, work, hobbies, enjoyment, and happiness as a permanent feeling? Definetely not.
Drugs and cigarettes are poison. Stay away from them, for fear that they can destroy you.
4: Excessive Gaming

Video games are a good way of entertaining yourself and connecting with other people. Millions of people around the world play them to escape sad realities of their meaningless existence.
Do you think gamers have a good life? 95% of them don’t. I speak from experience. While PUBG Mobile and other shooters did provide me comfort and a sense of accomplishment, I’ve wasted thousands of hours on achievements that, in the grand scheme of things, have zero value.
Gaming for hours daily wastes your time that you could’ve spent on building skills, learning about the world, and preparing yourself for the future. Thankfully, unlike most of my peers, I managed to break free from this evil habit and find my true passion in life – writing and entrepreneurship.
When you convince a man that he cannot achieve, he will escape to videogames. The main problem with gaming is that it gives you a false sense of success, while taking you further and further away from making real progress in the real world.
If you are a successful guy who has tens of thousands of dollars of passive income, you are free to do whatever you want, including exploration of virtual worlds. But if you’re a young man who hasn’t achieved much yet, you must be willing to sacrifice digital entertainment for a few months.
If you make no progress in real life, then you have no place making it in the digital world.
5: Scrolling on Social Media

Social media is a relatively new thing that’s only been popular for the last few decades. Starting out as platforms that promised connection with any person around the globe, social media has quickly transformed into software that deals severe mental health damage to people in the world.
Thankfully, in 2020s, more and more people started to realize just how bad TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other similar apps are for their brains. Scrolling on social media serves you no value, and it is a bad habit that you must quit no matter what.
You may argue that you use it for connecting with friends, or use it for networking with people that may help you later. But let’s be honest: do you actually use these apps for such purposes? Do you truly spend hours a day socializing on the screen and making connections? Or do you merely scroll and overstimulate your mind to the point where you feel completely empty?
Scroll addiction is a real thing, and 99% of Earth’s population are victims to it. If you want to reach your full potential and make ancestors proud, you must take a step back from degeneracy, turn off technology, and ask yourself: what is my purpose in life?
Stop scrolling, reflect on your life, find out what needs to be done, and do it.
6: Constant Partying

Partying is overrated. Yes I said it: partying is overrated, and it’s not even fun.
Extremely loud music, drunk and high people everywhere you see, people fucking each other in private rooms, bathrooms, or sometimes in public – is that considered fun nowadays?
Partying seems like a fun thing to do for many people in our society. They say that it’s for deepening connections with friends, or that they use it for networking. Ah, same excuses as with drinking and scrolling on social media.
How the fuck is mumbling shit with friends when you’re drunk “deepening connections”? Do you really meet powerful individuals at mediocre night clubs, or do you simply meet idiots who have no social mannerisms or awareness of how healthy people communicate?
The truth is, reader: if you go out 2-3 times a week to night clubs to get high and dance to shitty music, your life sucks. Don’t believe me?
Would a purposeful individual who has important goals waste time on spending nights with people who only give a fuck about them during times of pleasure? Or would he work on his goals, do good habits that make him healthy and happy, and seek connections with high quality people who share same values and ideas? Of course, the second option.
Quit partying and take a step back from degeneracy. Go on a monk mode. You will not regret it.
7: Chasing After Women

Millions of young guys in our society chase after women as if they are some goddesses, the ultimate gifts of life that stand above literally everything else in the world. They waste their youth on pursuing instant gratification through bad habits already described above, and try to get hot chicks way out of their league to like them.
While they may succeed at times, by the time they turn 30, they find out the horryfying truth: they have no skills, no money, no purpose, and their friends can no longer do YOLO stuff, because they have to provide for their families.
This is what chasing women does to you: it misdirects your natural instincts towards pursuing casual sex and instant gratification that feel good right now, but make your life significantly worse in the long term. There is nothing wrong with wanting to bond with women and form connections with them.
But if you want your future wife to be of high quality, you must stop chasing low quality girls in low quality environments, and focus on yourself for a few years.
Build a muscular physique, a stoic mind that can solve problems under stress, read books, learn more about the world, learn to fight, create products, open your own business.
Do things that will slowly but surely make you a high value man that top tier women desire. Focus on yourself, and only then can you reap the rewards. That’s how life works.
8: Having a Shitty Diet

You are what you eat. If you eat high quality, single ingredient meals that nourish your body with vitamins, you will be healthy, happy, and enjoy doing purposeful work.
If you, like most people, eat shitty processed foods that have tons of sugar, fat, chemicals, and salts with unreadable names, you will feel shitty. You will feel weak, tired, sloppy, lazy, depressed, and get thousands of anxious thoughts. You will also have a weaker immune system, meaning that you will be more likely to catch diseases that will make your health even more shitty.
Fast food, Chinese noodles, and cheap pizzas you buy at local shops may taste yummy right now, but make you feel like shit just a few hours later. By continuing to consume the same food for years you will likely lower your testosterone, develop diabetes, obesity, or heart disease. Is having good taste on your tongue worth sacrificing your life for?
No. To be successful, or at least healthy and happy, you need to have an optimized diet with as little shitty chemicals and processed foods as possible. Otherwise, you will remain mediocre as everyone else.

9: Not Being Present

Last, but not least, being AFK is one of the worst habits a man can have. How often do you encounter a guy who scrolls on his phone, barely hears you, and responds to you only after a couple of seconds? It’s like they are physically there, but their minds are somewhere else.
Social media has deprives many people in our society from presence. They either regret their past, or dread the future, but never experience the only time period that truly exists – Now.
Being Present makes you happy, grateful, charismatic. It makes you more creative and productive, as during flow state your mind can work perfectly at the level that no cognitive effort can reach.
Presence is a beautiful thing. Yet billions of people globally choose to give it up for meaningless pleasure that ruins their mental health and deprives them from feeling true happiness. If this isn’t stupid, then what is it?
Learn to cultivate the skill of mindfulness and presence. Do yoga, meditate, remind yourself of how little time we have on this Earth. This is one of the crucial steps to become a great man you aspire to be.
How to Stop Overindulging
No that you know all the main bad habits that ruin your life, it’s time for me to tell you more practical advice on how to get rid of them. What’s the point of complaining without presenting a solution?
First of all, consciously realize that these behaviors are toxic, unhealthy, and make your life worse each time you indulge in them. Visualize yourself 10, 20 years from now still consuming alcohol, social media, video games, and see how much these things truly limit your potential.
Next, understand the important concept of instant and delayed gratification. Instant gratification are habits that feel good now, but make your life terrible later. Delayed gratification is the opposite: the more you do the hard things, the better your life will be later.
Stop overindulging in bad shit. Throw out all objects that remind you of the bad habits listed above. Throw out junk food, cigs, drugs, beer, fapping lube into the trash outside. Sell your gaming console or put it in the attic. Delete social media apps AND accounts you have on them. Take a step back from going to night clubs and degenerate environments. No excuses.
